“Spring: a lovely reminder of how beautiful change can truly be.” ~ Anonymous

April showers have brought May flowers. As I walk through my neighbourhood, crocuses are visible on several lawns, tulips have broken through the soil in their planters and the magnolia and cherry blossom trees in High Park have amazed thousands of visitors over the past week.

This month is a very busy month as we continue to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Our Spring Luncheon and Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 11 and the link is provided below. You can also directly register on our District 23 website:

Last weekend an update was sent to members seeking volunteers to fill vacant positions on our Executive. If you are interested, we would love to hear from you! The link is also available on our Facebook Page with the feature entitled Volunteers!

Sporting events continue to ‘entertain/panic/excite’ Toronto’s fans….Good luck to the Blue Jays who are playing Seattle this weekend and to the Leafs who are up 3-2 in their first round series. Good Luck Maple Leafs!

Enjoy what promises to be a warmer month of May and take some time to explore the great outdoors! There is much to celebrate in May, with Mother’s Day, a long weekend and perhaps some will rise early to witness the coronation of King Charles. Most of our events are outlined below and it is the last notification for our Georgian Bay cruise departing on June 1 ~ don’t miss the registration deadline.

We hope you can join us!
