“For The Fallen”

by: Laurence Binyon

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.”

Welcome to the November e-Newsletter.
November is the month of remembrance. Remembrance Day isn’t just about war and those we’ve lost but about ideals and what we stand for. Let us all reflect on the conflicts in our world today and think how we can offer support or assistance to those in dire circumstances.
Let us all take time on November 11th to remember.

The Fall edition of STONY Bridges will be arriving in your homes in the next few weeks. It will be filled with highlights of Fall/Winter activities and prepare you for those events in the coming months.

Later in November, we celebrate our Annual Holiday Season Luncheon. This is an excellent time for members, old and new, to meet, be festive, share a delicious luncheon and enjoy the entertainment organized by Social Convener Mildred Frank and her amazing team. ‘Tis the season! Our Needlework and Craft group members are preparing for their raffle with the creation of many creative items!

Once again, we have several events, deadlines and activities planned for the upcoming month. We encourage you to participate in a new activity, discuss a good book, return to a favourite event or head out to a venue to meet old friends or forge new acquaintances.

Keep up to date with the North York District 23 website at: https://district23.rtoero.ca/

Enjoy the month of November as you begin to encounter those wintry temperatures and roads that we have avoided to date in the areas around Toronto.
